The typical deck is elevated, set on a post and beam
construction frame with a railing. Stairs are optional but
usually desired.
Dress up features include the addition of benches,
planters, arbors, lattice skirts and privacy lattice
screening. Occasionally, a multi-level deck becomes the design
of choice.
